Smart Start Rowan Staff
Smart Start Rowan (SSR) is a local non-profit agency formed by a group of concerned citizens in the 1997. The SSR mission has always been about bettering the lives of young children in RowanCounty. Our work focuses on three developmental building blocks of; family support, health & safety and early care and education of young children prenatally through the age of 5 years.
Promoting a smoke free environment in our workplace is just one example of how we strive to educate our families and the early educators who serve our children. The staff at Smart Start Rowan actively supports all efforts which serve to ensure that children are given a healthy start. A smoke free environment is an essential for a developing fetus, as well as the young child. Healthy children are afforded an opportunity for a better future; they are better prepared to learn!
